I believe that technology can be used to improve the educational opportunities of all military children attending Lackland Independent School District. As the director of technology I am fortunate to have a team of professionals that share this vision and work each day to ensure our technical resources are matched with instructional strategies that contribute to classroom instruction for all students.  I earned a Masters degree in Instructional Technology from Our Lady of the Lake University at San Antonio, a Bachelor's degree from Southwest Texas State University, and an Associate degree in Digital Electronics. My experience as a program manager for the development of intelligent tutors combined with years of teaching and supervising in leadership and technical training contribute to our technology department's insight for instructional design. Our priority is to enhance and expand the teaching and learning environment by implementing ActivBoards in classrooms with support for effective teaching; integrate one-to-one mobile devices to include 24X7 student access; and maximize web resources such as teacher web pages, Wiki's, student e-mail, and moodle as technology tools to extend the teachers' influence.
