Having grown up as an Army brat, I understand what military life can be like. Between 1st and 12th grades, I went to 10 different schools. My family's frequent moving taught me how challenging it can be to constantly be the new kid in class, but also what a blessing it is to know people from all over the world. I suppose I am a Texan now because I have lived here in San Antonio since 1985. While attending UTSA I worked as a vendor and sold cosmetics at the Lackland BX, but I don't think I even knew there was a school on base. I have been teaching special education since 1988, and I feel very fortunate to have been teaching at Lackland Elementary since 2001! I love reading, all kinds of music, and animals! |
